Arctic Technology designed and implemented a highly resilient cloud architecture for a public sector Human Capital Management (HCM) platform, with the objective of ensuring continuous availability and data integrity under all operating conditions. The system was engineered to tolerate infrastructure failures without service disruption, supporting a mission-critical workload with strict reliability requirements.
The architecture was built across multiple availability zones with redundancy at every layer, including application, compute, and data. Application services were deployed behind load balancers with auto-scaling enabled, allowing the platform to dynamically adjust capacity based on real-time demand while maintaining consistent performance. This ensured stability during peak usage and prevented resource bottlenecks.
To protect data integrity and availability, we implemented cross-zone database replication with automated failover. A primary database instance was continuously synchronized with a standby replica, enabling rapid failover in the event of a failure with minimal impact to end users.
